Overview
Access is central to the UM’s transformative teaching, learning, research, and service mission. By promoting pathways in education, UM seeks to ensure that all community members have opportunities to benefit from high-quality teaching, engage in meaningful research, and participate fully in the learning community. This seed grant program is intended to support innovative research and creative activities at UM that advance access and opportunity.
The most competitive proposals will position the investigators/scholars to garner additional external funding to conduct projects that positively impact Mississippi communities. ORED is committed to working with the investigators to seek out and compete for external funding to sustain and expand their research or creative advancements, and DAOCE is committed to working with investigators to position their projects for maximum MS community impact.
- Typical/suggested project period – 1 year
- Awards – between $2,500 and $10,000 (direct costs only)
